There’s lots to see at Johns Homestead Park, including the historic ca. 1829 homestead and outbuildings and the two beautiful Twin Brother’s Lakes. Johns Homestead Park is located at 3071 Lawrenceville Hwy. Tucker, GA 30084. Parking is currently not available at the homestead. For lake access, go to the end of Stapp Drive and park at the gate.
Hike Thanks to our local scout troops and community and neighborhood volunteers, we have new hiking trails that wind through the scenic woods of Johns Homestead Park. The Marsh Trail can be accessed from the Homestead, and there is also a trail circling the lower lake (accessible from Stapp Drive).
Wildlife Johns Homestead Park is a prime spot for watching birds and other wildlife. The forests, wetlands, and lakes support beaver, waterfowl, woodpeckers, owls, songbirds, a heron rookery, turtles and many fish species. The Audubon Society hosts occasional field trips to the park for bird-watching excursions. Click here for more info.
Geocache There is a geocache located within Johns Homestead Park. Test out your GPS skills and get a tour of the park at the same time! Click here for more info.
